Ventilation Definition:
If the patient is unable to breath properly due to any reason,assisted ventilation (intermittent positive pressure respiration)
should be used.Repeated blood gas estimations are performed to evaluate the condition of the patient.
OXYGEN:
Intermittent oxygen inhalations improve the oxygenation of the blood in chest injury patients.
BLOOD TRANSFUSION:
The amount of the lost blood should be measured accurately and it should be replaced as early as possible.
HAEMOTHORAX FOLLOWING STAB WOUNDS:
Analgesia is required to relieve pain and anxiety Pleura aspiration is performed either by aspiration or by indwelling chest tube drainage. If the bleeding is severe and doubt about the associated injuries exploration of the wound and control of bleeding should be preformed by tracheotomy.
